College Test Prep
Provides scholarships and grants for sprofessional college prep testing for SAT, ACT, and AP exams. Typically, College Rising funds the scholarships by paying the test prep company or counseler directly.
College Prep Counseling
College counseling by a professional college counselor in your own community. College Rising will pay college counselors directly for College Rising students.
Financial Aid Counseling
Navigating the financial aid options for college is complex. College Rising provides scholarships and grants to cover the cost of professional financial aid counselors who can help you to find the best options for paying for college, room and board.
Transportation
One of the biggest challenges of helping our students is transportation. Lacking access to a car or being restricted by bus schedules limits the options that a student has to take advantage of counseling services. College Rising partner with local transportation companies and individuals to provide transportation. We also try to sponsor counseling as close to students as possible, including at their high school, partner program locations, churches, and community centers.
Mentorship
Preparing to leave home to attend college can be a big obstacle for students. College Rising strives to help students become full time students with the skills they need to graduate. We connect our students with mentors who can share their experience to help our students succeed.
